CHAK De INDIA Challenges DDLJ
CHAK DE INDIA has completed 50 days at the box office. What’s interesting though are the film’s collections in Mumbai city (excluding Thane). So far, in just 6 weeks, the film has netted 11.31 crores. The fun part comes form the fact that DDLJ, after 622 weeks in the running, has its total reading 11.72 crores from Mumbai (excluding Thane). In maximum fortnight’s time, CDI collections are bound to overtake what DDLJ has earned in over 10 years.
With rock steady collections since its release, the film is now confirmed blockbusters at the box office with collections promising to touch 60 crores mark in a week’s time. But I personally feel DDLJ was Awesome and CHAK DE cannot be compared with DDLJ. So what do you feel which one is the best CHAK DE or DDLJ.
Bipasha and Aishwarya to Star In A Hollywood Flick
Bollywood hot beauties will be doing a Hollywood flick together. Bips and Ash are the two hotties of the Bollywood who are much talked about for their international project. The Hollywood actor, famous for playing Mahatama Gandhi and winning an Oscar for it, is all set to play the Moghul emperor Shah Jahan in an upcoming big feature flick produced by Hollywood and based around the love monument that is the Taj Mahal. It is said that Ash will be playing Mumtaz and Bips could be playing the role of Shah Jahan’s elder daughter Jahanara Begum. The two beauties had been together earlier in last year’s super hit movie Dhoom 2. Ash had earlier turned down the romantic lead opposite Will Smith in Hitch, her epic European produced flick The Last Legion did not do well. She did rule the Box Office for a week or two in the United Kingdom with Bride and Prejudice and showed her sentimental acting prowess in Provoked. We will soon see her in The Pink Panthar 2 with veteran comedian Steve Martin.
Bips has not been much involved with Hollywood and it is not sure if she would be doing this role too. The reason – Why would she play the second fiddle to ash? But it’s an international project so who knows??????????
Kissa Kiss Ka – Shilpa and Gere
A few months ago there was a big hype created when Richard Gere kissed Shilpa openlt in public at an Aids Awareness event in New Delhi. If people are thinking that the incident’s effect is over then be ready for a big shock. Shilpa was treated very harshly by a police officer at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai. A court in Alwar dist of Rajasthan issued a ‘look-out notice’ for Shilpa at various airports. The notice said that the actress shouldn’t be allowed to leave the country till the Richard Gere-Shilpa Shetty case was over.
Shilpa appealed to the Supreme Court against this order and got permission to travel abroad. Shilpa was leaving for Germany for West End musical “Miss Bollywood when an immigration officer spoke very rudely to her.Her spokesperson Dale Bhagwagar said: “The immigration authorities at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport just seemed to refuse to take note of this clearance of Shilpa’s name by the Supreme Court.” Shilpa had to call her lawyer and sort out thing with the officer. Shilpa was very much upset with the whole incident and said it was unfair to treat her like a criminal in her own country. Now Shilpa is planning to take action against the immigration authorities for what she termed as offensive behavior. Well I feel this matter should be stopped here and the KISS ka issue should not be given so much of importance. Come on guys just stop this now…….
Abhishek Joins Aiswarya in Boston
The superstar couple seems to be much in love with each other. It has been just five months and the couple cannot live without each other. The Bachan couple has been spotted in Boston together, they are not even separable by their professional commitments. For the last few weeks Aish has been shooting in Boston for her movie ‘The Next Pink Panther’ while her better half was shooting in India. But Abhi made it point to meet his dear wife so he flew to Boston to meet her. The couple was spotted walking together hand-in-hand on the streets of Boston. Abhi also accompanied his wifey to the sets of the movie. Previously when the movie was being shot in Paris, even then he had joined Aish. These people seem to be inseparable.
Abhishek will soon resume work for his movie ‘Drona’ in Namibia and Aish will be busy with ‘Pink Panther’ till October. Aish plays the role of a criminal expert in the movie who helps the Inspector nab an elusive burglar. Back to Abhi missing his wife…………..hmmmmm did we ever think Abhi could be sooooooo Romantic?
Akshay Excited About Bhool Bhulaiyaa
Akshay Kumar is excited about his role in Bhool Bhulaiyya. The movie has a very different plot. It is based on the superstitions and beliefs that are held widely in India and across the globe. The other stars in the movie are Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja and Rajpal Yadav.
Bhool Bhulaiyya is a Psychological thriller set to release on Oct 12 2007 through integrated media and Entertainment Company and leading global distributor of Bollywood cinema, Eros International. Akshay’s role is a very challenging one in the movie. He has always been doing different roles but this would certainly be the most outstanding one. No wonder, Akshay is excited about his role in the movie. The movie is directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Bhushan Kumar. It is being said that Bhool Bhulaiyya is a remake of the telugu movie ‘Chandramukhi’ which was a huge hit. Well. Im sure even this one will be a huge hit and Akshay will surely be outstanding in this movie. I saw the promos and really loved them, Im just waiting for the movie to release so that I can watch it!
Ekta Kapoor Would Love To Marry Karan Johar
Queen of soaps wants to marry Karan Johar. Ekta kapoor had said recently that she would love to marry Karan. Both are 30-plus, fiery, feisty, famous and eminently single. And although both are off-camera celebrities, they get mobbed big-time in public places. Ekta and Karan both are very successful people and both have made their families proud of them. Karan says that He and Ekta have made their parents proud and they must have never thought that he and Ekta would be so successful. He also said that it is very difficult for both of them to find right partners and if they are unable to fine their life partners they will marry each other. He says Ekta is an absolute Darling and he admires her Tenacity and her ability to do work she likes despite the criticism that she gets.Ekta also has a lot to say about Karan she feels that Karan is a very good film maker and he is the only person in Bollywood who she chats with and though she does not attend any parties she does not miss any of Karan’s parties.

Bollywood Hockey Coach Now Cheers for Cricket
It’s not new for the stars to witness a cricket match.We have always seen their craze for Cricket with their presence in many cricket matches. King Khan will be attending the Twenty20 Cricket final. The Twenty20 match will be played today by India and Pakistan. Shah Rukh Khan will be joining hands with the Indian fans and cheer team India when Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his men take on Pakistan in the final of the Twenty20 Cricket World Cup in Johannesburg in South Africa. SRK had earlier made a surprise visit to the India-England third Test at The Oval (England), last month. So King Khan will Support India and surely convey one message to all the players CHAK DE INDIA !
Rani and Abhishek Shake A Leg Together
Its good news for all Rani-Abhishek fans, the duo is back again with their new movie Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. Just three weeks to go and we can see then shaking a leg together in LCMD. The movie is a woman oriented film and Rani Mukherjee and Konkona Sen hold the main role. Kunal Kapoor and Abhishek also have an important role to play but the centre stage is definitely played by the actresses. The promos are creating much hype about the movie and the latest song featuring in the promos is ‘kachchi kaliyan’ which is picturised on Rani and Abhishek. The song which is sung by Sonu Nigam Shreya Ghoshal and Sunidhi Chauhan is a fast moving peppy track with slight mix of pop and rap. Just appropriate for today’s crowd.
The highlight however is a celebration song with a flashy set in the background, the track merges the sensibilities of producers Yash Raj Films and director Pradeep Sarkar, as can be witnessed in the picturisation. It’s good to see Rani and Abhishek together, they look really wonderful and their pair has also been one crowned as one of the best leading pair in the industry according to a public poll. Well, any guesses what does Ash has to say about this?
Kahani Poori Filmi Hai – Jab We Met
The love birds Shahid and Kareena are back with their new movie ‘Jab We Met’. The stars are very excited about their movie and have lot of expectations from it. The story is very very filmy. It is mainly a sweet and cute love story. The story is about a character Geet played by Kareena who is a Sikhni from Bhatinda- a town in Punjab. She meets Aditya (Shahid Kapoor) on a train journey and the romantic journey starts with all possible twists and turns and finally ends with a happy note.The movie has a very filmi story line but seems to interesting because of the Punjabi style highlighted in the movie. There was lot of confusion regarding the title of the movie. Three tittles were selected for the movie ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Ishq Via Bhatinda’and ‘Punjab Mail’ and the decision was taken in accordance with the audience poll and the audience voted for Jab We Met so the title was chosen on public demand.
Shahid and Kareena have lot of hopes from this movie let’s see if they are able to create the same magic that they created in Fida. Though the movie seems to be soft and slow it has lot of hilarious dialogues. So all we can do is just wait for the release. The movie is set to be released on October 26.
Shahrukh Khan takes Munna Bhai’s Place
Rajkumar Hirani goes for a change from Sanjay Dutt to Shahrukh Khan. Who can forget the rediscovery of Gandhian views in Lage Raho Munna Bhai, it was one of the finest movies of Sunjay Dutt and now it will be Shahrukh Khan creating the same magic for us. Hirani has decided to take Shahrukh Khan for his next project. Hirani was always interested to work with SRK and Sharukh khan was his first choice for Munnabhai MBBS but things didn’t work out with him so Sanjay Dutt got the role.
The SRK-Hirani project is based on Chetan Bhagat’s book on the IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) culture, ‘Five Point Someone’. The story revolves around three friends, who are unable to cope with the pressures of being in the premier institution. it is said that the script is being reworked and some changes have been made. lets see if the magic of Munna Bhai and Lage Raho is seen in Hirani’s next project and how well does Shahrukh Khan deal with it. Another point to think about is that if there are three people in the lead wonder who the other two can be apart from SRK? Any Guesses who it might be?
Kareena Desperate To Work with Shah Rukh Khan
Kareena Kapoor is desperate to work with Shah Rukh Khan. Why? She desperately needs a hit.she has not been doing well in her career and she hopes a movie with Shah Rukh will give her a solo hit. She wants to be a part of Shanker’s SRK starrer Robot. And she also paid a personal visit to SRK to convince him that she is right for the role.it is said that when Kareena heard that SRK is playing the lead role in Robot she has been keen on doing the film.the film was originally planned to take Kamal Hassan in the lead but Shah Rukh got lucky and the role went to him. The story of the movie is kept a secret but the insiders have revealed that it’s a futuristic and Stylish movie so it that the reason why Kareena wants to do the film. May be its because Shah Rukh and style go hand in hand.

.If your wondering what I am talking about, it’s the popular TV show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa challenge 2007. The show has another love bug from Himesh Reshammiya’s gharana. Aneek Dhar from his gharana has been in news for all wrong reasons. He says he has a secret crush and that person is one among the co-participants.Himesh makes it very obvious that he is supporting Aneek to get his love, but it is said that this is another publicity stunt that Himesh is trying?? Do you think this is true? Well, why not- we all remember what happened with vineet and his love, we still know nothing about it and that’s because there was no such secret love existing! I feel even though Aneek is not much interested Himesh is encouraging him to proceed further without realizing if Aneek is serious about his Love.
Recently Aneek said that ‘it is true Himeshji is trying to make me a groom for Bappiji’s gharana, but I have no such intention right now.’ What? He has no such intension? Does that mean Himesh is just Exaggerating things? Do you think Aneek Is serious about Sumedha or its just another publicity stunt by his mentor????????
